zeixs ist die Verschmelzung von Online- und Printmedien, die sich gegenseitig befruchten sollen und sich als offenes Portal für Designer versteht. Die Entwürfe werden eingesandt und zeixs schickt die Besten rund um die Welt – in Büchern, die international vertrieben werden.

Das neue Buch von zeixs heisst «thnk cmyk» und ist eine Reihe von vier Titeln, die sich jeweils dem grafischen Arbeiten mit nur einer der Farben des CMYK-Spektrums, plus Schwarz, widmen. Das Büro Nord ist mit mehreren Beiträgen erstmals auch mit dabei.

In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Schweizer Streetart Künstler Harun „Shark“ Dogan entstanden die costumized Fußball-Trikots.

Er wirkte an der Fotostrecke SMUDGE als art director mit und unterstützte damit den kreativen Teil der Fotografie von Kai Stuht.

Fußballstars wie Luca Toni, Franck Ribéry, Bastian Schweinsteiger,Tranquillo Barnetta, Mladen Petric und Sebastian Prödl stiegen im Münchner Studio des Fotokünstlers in einen 12 qm2 großen, randvoll mit weißer Farbe gefüllten Pool, um dort mit Fallrückzieher und Seitfallzieher ihre Spuren zu hinterlassen.

Am 24. April wird in der Buchhandlung Orell Füssli das neue komplett illustrierte Buch «Fussballhelden sehen Rot!»präsentiert – eine Hommage an die besten Fussballer des Kontinents. Für «Fussballhelden sehen Rot!» haben 38 Illustratoren aus 12 europäischen Ländern 50 Mannschaften gezeichnet! Einen kleinen Vorgeschmack bieten die zurzeit aufliegenden gratis Postkarten, die gestaffelt erscheinen (Abb. Suki Bamboo’s Cesc Fabregas/Spain 2008). Viele der Illustratoren werden übrigens an der Buchvernissage anwesend sein: Ashi, Beach, Diego Balli, François Chalet, Anna Cholinska, Nicolas Kristen, Bruno Muff, Suki Bamboo, Serge Seidlitz, Boris Zatko und Herausgeber Jerzovskaja werden erwartet, welcher auch vorort einige Worte über das Buch zum Besten geben wird.

Gleichzeitig mit der Buchvernissage öffnen drei «Fussballhelden sehen Rot!» Ausstellungen in den Orell Füssli Buchhandlungen Kramhof Zürich, Luzern und Rösslitor St. Gallen ihre Tore. Die Ausstellungen dauern bis zum 30. Juni 2008 und sind während der Ladenöffnungszeiten von Orell Füssli kostenlos zugänglich.

Harun „Shark“ Dogan`s Wurzeln liegen in der urbanen Subkultur. Sein Arbeitsspektrum reicht von Graffiti/Streetart über Grafik/Illustration bis hin zu Textil- und Industrie Design.

Nach seiner kürzlich abgeschlossenen Weltreise als «Got2b-Trendscout, sammelte der «Networker» weltweit Kontakte für neue Projekte. Eines davon ist „TheRedFlag“, eine für Sommer ‘09 geplante Messe in den Bereichen «Fashion-Sport-Lifestyle-Design». Das in Zusammenarbeit mit Starshot.de entwickelte Konzept zur Messe sieht darüber hinaus vor, weitere Events, Produkte und Präsentationen im Vorfeld zu realisieren. Der Startschuss erfolgte nun mit „TheRedFlag“ Magazin im Januar ‘08 an der Ispo in München und bis Sommer 08 sollen weitere Mini-Events folgen, in Städten wie Tokio, New York, Barcelona, Berlin, Istanbul, München.

Im Rahmen einer kleinen Ausstellung stellt Shark „TheRedFlag“ Magazin vor.

Chris Wyer, 1977 in der Innerschweiz geboren, ist seit zwei Jahren in Zürich beheimatet. Er arbeitet als visueller Entertainer und Gestalter, und weiss sich in diversen Gefilden zu bewegen. Er ist einer der führenden Köpfe des Büro Nord so wie Mitbegründer des Kreativnetzwerkes «Conquest Creatives». Chris Wyer ist zudem Autor des Fachbuches «Die Schallplatte versus neue Digitaltechnik» *, DJ und Gründer von «Freeground . Indivisual music lab», so wie Teil des Kuratorenteams der Galerie «zur Nachtigall».

Wir freuen uns auf eine ironische und «haarige» Fotoarbeit - und auf Grafiken, gefangen im künstlichen Licht der «Light-Boxes»!

Suki Bamboo mit bürgerlichem Namen als Bianca Angela geboren, legte sie sich 1989 den Namen «Zora» zu, um fortan als Graffitiartist und MC zu malen und zu rappen. seitdem hat sie konsequent Ihren Stil weiterentwickelt und sich auf Illustrationen spezialisiert. Mit den beiden schweizer Writern Shark und Mate war sie Teil der internationalen Graffiti Stick Up Kids, heute ist Teil von Büro Nord und den Conquest-Creatives.
Als Zora hat sie sich zudem auch im musikalischen Bereich als Rapperin einen Namen gemacht. Von 1993-2002 hat sie insgesamt 13 Tonträger, darunter auch eine Kooperation mit Thomas D., veröffentlicht.

2003 kam ihr in Hamburg die Idee zu «Suki Bamboo», was für freies Denken und Freude an der Kreation steht, sowie der immer bestehenden Möglichkeit, Träume Realität werden zu lassen. Inspiration ist überall. Die Umwelt beobachten, Einflüsse wahrnehmen, die Essenz der Dinge erkennen, aufs Wesentliche reduzieren, die inneren Bilder die daraus entstehen kommunizieren und in eine ästhetische Form bringen. Everything good is beautiful! Und alles was man sich vorstellen kann, lässt sich realisieren. «Was auch immer ich bildlich erschaffe, meine Absicht liegt darin, dem Betrachter ein nachhaltig gutes, positives Gefühl zu schenken und manchmal auch Wissen oder Erfahrungen weiterzugeben, welche schwer in Worte zu fassen sind.»

The Conquest Creative Rogelio Perez produced the currently running videoclip for the Berne Hiphop-Crew 6erGascho in order of Nation Music. The quickly cut and shot scenes are supported by animated sequences which base on illustrations made by Bianca Litscher aka Suki Bamboo. Nik Zuber is responsible for the animation.

Shark is got2b - Trendscout!

On June 16th 2007, the jury of the got2b - Trendscout contest together with the audience in the «Härterei» in Zurich elected the winner of the got2b-Trendscout award. And the winner is: Shark!

From the beginning of August, Shark will be looking for trends in cities such as New York, Buenos Aires, Stockholm, London, Berlin, Tokyo and a city of his choice. He will report on his trip to the community on the got2be - Trendscout website.

And this is what you can expect from the got2be - Trendscout:
- Trendreports from various cities
- A travelblog with his very personal impressions
- The possibility to ask him some questions
- Furthermore, you can buy some hot and trendy things on ebay, which were selected and bought by Shark on his trips and which are probably not yet available in your country! The gains of the auction on ebay are 100% forwarded to UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Fund.

The «Art Clash» is the designers’ «Battle of the Year», the illustrators` «Write for Gold», the artists` «MC-Battle».

The «Art Clash» is a contest over 3 rounds with 16 international graphic designers, writers, artists and painters.

The goal of each round is to design the given objects as special and as fancy as possible. A famous jury judges the designed objects and selects the winners of each round. The winner of the final round achieves fame, prize money and his own T-Shirt collection by Carhartt!
Nevertheless, the basic idea of connecting artists in this special and unforced way of the «painters battle» remains the main purpose of this event.

«ARTig 2007» is a floating graphic-art exhibition in the «exporaum» (220 sq) in the harbour of Basel. Artists from all over the German-speaking part of Switzerland as well as from the nearby «Dreiland» (Germany, French, Switzerland) will be performing a mix of street-art, graffiti, photography, graphic-design and 3D-installations.

Most of the artists will be present during the whole exhibition. This fact offers the possibility to get in touch with them and to get further information about their work and their working techniques.

Around Easter 2007, the third edition of the TRENDBOULEVARD took place in the industrial buildings in Zurichs` Maag Areal. The «Trendboulevard» is supposed to be the most innovative Swiss fair for architecture, design and fashion. Around 80 architects and designers showed their work - and even the design-guru Karim Rashid joined the fair!

A restaurant for food, drinks, art & culture – Zurich

The interior design
Based on a old, doomed restaurant in Zurich`s «Kreis 4», the Conquest Creatives designed together with Seraina Borner an exciting new meeting place for food, drinks, art and culture.

The idea and the demand of the operator was to keep some parts of the rustic character and – because of the new culinary and cultural offer - to combine it with a new and modern interior design. It is not an expensive and impersonal design, but a warm and good-feeling interior design at the pulse of the time.

Project planning and realization
There was no time to loose – only 2 weeks of planning time and 4 weeks for the realization had been calculated.
The aim was to merge the gastronomical flair with the theme of the sound, therefore a lot of different factors had to be considered. Nevertheless, everything had to be planned and realized very efficiently. «Actions speak louder than words» - many craftsmen had to be mobilized and coordinated. Thanks to our great team, no unlovely compromises had been made and the deadline could be met successfully.

Despite the shortage of time, no vision had been discarded. A new ground had been founded and existing elements, such as wooden walls, had been adopted and «pimped». The biggest wall in the foyer had been vested with a custom-made wallpaper. Walls were fettled, windows were amplified, a gallery/mini disco booth and a new bar were designed.
The result: six weeks of pleasant work and a satisfying outcome!

The Conquest Creatives remain true to the «Nachtigall» and supervise the gallery. Every month, the gallery of the «Nachtigall» introduces a new artist. Works from the range of photography, painting and installation will be shown. We are looking forward to see you there!
